It all started with a question…

“Honey, could I have a blueberry farm?”

One day I was at home with my hubby in the evening I nonchalantly asked him, “Honey, could I have a blueberry farm?”. To my surprise, he said, “Sure!”. What began as a thought, captured and expressed, turned into a deeply rooted desire to make this newfound dream a reality. We searched for which state we would like to live, and what climate would support our pursuits and that is partly why we decided that Greeneville, Tennessee was the place to be.

Over the course of several months, we searched for, surveyed, and purchased land. We decided to build our home at the top of the hill where Smoky Mountains are within view of the front porch. Thanks to Rod’s ability to drive a semi truck, we drove specially chosen blueberry plants all the way from New Jersey to our farm in Tennessee. With the help of our 5 children (and 13 grandchildren) we dug the trenches, planted each of the 1,000 blueberry bushes by hand, as well as began our orchard of apples, peaches, and pear trees - the result is what you see today!
