Gifts From the Heart

Tis the season for rushing from store to store, humming along to Christmas music, and of course decorating the house. Of all the holidays, Christmas is one of our very favorites. For us, it’s not simply a time to gather with family, but it is immensely joy-filled due to the fact that our Savior was born 2,024 years ago to bring hope to the world with His presence, and later His sacrifice. But the true meaning of Christmas is often lost amidst all the hustle and bustle, and the stress seems to rise from the pressure of perfect gift-giving and harmonious family get-togethers. How can we keep the focus on the reason and not get lost in the holiday season?

Here are five thoughtful questions to ask yourself when choosing meaningful Christmas gifts:

1. What skills or hobbies do you have that could create a special, handmade gift for someone this year? Could it be cooking, crafting, painting, or even curating a collection of meaningful photos?

2. Is there an experience you could share with someone you love instead of a material gift? Think of things like a cozy picnic, a hiking trip, or inviting family over to collectively cook a special meal together.

3. Do you have an old item that could be transformed or refinished into something beautiful and meaningful? How might giving new life to a cherished antique or family heirloom add sentimental value?

4. Are there any gifts you’ve received in the past that felt especially thoughtful or unique? What made them so memorable, and could you create a similar experience for someone else?

5. Who in your life might benefit most from a gift that supports a shared memory or adventure? Could tickets, a membership, or even a simple day spent together mean more than a wrapped box?

If you’re looking for a homemade gift, we now have Lavender Sachets for sale! Harvested in the peak season this summer and lovingly  hung in bundles to dry throughout the fall, our organic lavender is sweetly scented, and we highly recommend slipping a sachet into any gift bag.

If you’re looking for a larger amount of lavender for a project, we also have a limited supply of bundles for sale as well. For more information, just send us a message here and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

From all of us at Breyer Patch Farm,

Merry Christmas!
